Alhambra's Leadership Concludes Trip To Kuwait, Qatar, & United Arab Emirates

Alhambra has successfully concluded a multi-week trip to the Middle East. Alhambra visited Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). “It was ambitious for us in promoting the educational mission and offerings of Alhambra and its partners throughout the region, and we are very pleased by the successes as well as the possibilities for future projects and collaborations that have emerged. Many doors are opening up,” said Anjum Malik, Alhambra’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner.

The delegation met with His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development for the UAE; Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Misnad, President of Qatar University; and Mohan Jashanmal, Regional Manager of the Jashanmal Group. The delegation also had productive meetings with top leadership from multiple universities and educational institutions, including Arab Open University in Kuwait; Abu Dhabi Education Council; Kuwait Occupational Standards, Assessment & Certification Center; Qatar Foundation; and GEMS Education. Alhambra’s partner, the Intensive American English Institute, announced full scholarships for two students selected by Qatar’s Supreme Education Council. Dr. Khalid Al-Horr and his team will soon make the selection, and the students are expected to arrive in Austin next semester. Through Alhambra’s friends at Center House Ltd, Alhambra will be Center House Ltd’s North American partner for the Arabian Gateway Global Gathering, an event targeting CEOs from around the world. “Educationally, the Middle East is one of the world’s most rapidly expanding regions. There is so much opportunity for Alhambra here and each trip helps us fine-tune areas for which we can be of greatest benefit.” Malik says.
