Amal Jamil Fatani, PhD
Associate Professor in Pharmacology and Toxicology, King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Dr. Fatani currently serves as Consultant and General Supervisor of Female Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prior to that position, she held the position of General Supervisor of Female Sections in All Sectors in the Ministry of Higher Education. Dr. Fatani is a recognized thought-leader with a strong executive presence, has served on numerous committees, authored several publications and travels globally attending general and specialized events and symposia. Previously, Dr. Fatani held three administrative positions as Dean of nine Scientific and Medical Colleges, Vice Dean of Pharmacy College and Vice Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh, KSA. She continues to serve on the KSU faculty as an Associate Professor. She currently serves as a board member of the Saudi Research Science Institute at King Abdullah University. She is also a part time consultant for the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (MAWHIBA), which mentors gifted and talented students throughout the Kingdom. She is very keen on networking with national and international, public and private sectors to promote social responsibility and sustainable development. Dr. Fatani holds a PhD in pharmacology and toxicology from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland. Prior to her PhD, she obtained both her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in pharmacology at King Saud University.
